About

Imam Ameer Hamza completed the memorization of the Qur’an at the age of 12. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and went on to work in the corporate world for a number of years, serving as a Senior Financial Analyst. Guided by a deep commitment to Islamic learning, he transitioned to sacred studies, completing a diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies with Cambridge Islamic Sciences under Shaykh Mohammad Akram Nadwi. He then earned his ʿĀlimiyyah degree from Qalam Seminary, while also studying with a host of renowned scholars across America. He later served as Resident Imam at the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, where his work spanned community leadership, education, and program development. Alongside delivering khuṭbahs and offering pastoral care, he taught courses in Tafsīr, Sīrah, ʿAqīdah, and Tazkiyyah. He also helped design the Islamic Studies curriculum for Salam High School and introduced strategic planning and systems that have strengthened the mosque’s culture and long-term programming.
